Are you tired of all the anger in political discourse? Do you wish political analysts on TV and radio could analyze economic and political matters using facts and data that are not twisted to fit a pre-determined agenda? If so, this blog might be for you. We attempt to comment on the issues of the day using more of a Spock-like, logical approach and less of the Dr. McCoy, emotional approach that is currently in favor. We are human, however, so we do bring some emotional biases into the discussion. But we do make an effort to approach these topics in a rational manner. Your well-thought-through comments and feedback are welcome. We attempt to avoid emotional and provocative language in our posts and we would prefer you do the same with your comments.
The author of More Spock is Elliott Andrews. He has no special credentials with which to convince you he’s always right. He is not a political activist and has never worked for a political party, political action committee or political campaign. In fact, he finds the hypocrisy and illogical claims made by many political activists to be annoying. He has no political ambitions. He would make a terrible politician because of his willingness and desire to explore all sides of an issue rather than toe a political party or political action group’s line. He believes the left has the right approach to some issues and the right makes more sense on others. Sometimes he’ll sound like a liberal and others a conservative. He attempts to look at each topic independently.
